Heed Audio Obelisk PX
One of the most difficult tasks Heed have undertaken has been to extend the capabilities of the Obelisk PRE, which was designed to perform beautifully as a self-contained unit. However, the Obelisk PX dedicated outboard power supply manages to surpass the highest expectations.
The PX is based on a sophisticated fully-regulated, double-filtered circuit topology, which eliminates interference caused by the mains supply, providing the cleanest possible current to the PRE. It features very high grade components such as a high-quality mains transformer and well-sized high-grade capacitors custom made to Heed’s own specifications. This results in extremely low noise, low inner impedance and negligible distortion performance.
When paired with the Obelisk PRE, the sound-stage leaps forward - with even 'blacker' blacks, more three dimensional imaging - coupled with warmth, poise and detailed precision. We all know that at the heart of a great system lies a great power supply that unhinders sonics. It is not that the PRE doesn't sound fantastic with it's own power supply - it does as you would expect...but the experts at Heed Audio know that if you require a 'smart' upgrade to an already outstanding musical experience - why stop?
The whole Obelisk concept is one built on the evolution of a design, innovation and thoughtful implementation, and the Obelisk PX power supply enables so much more. With this clearly in mind, although the PX is primarily designed to partner with the Obelisk PRE, it can also be paired to enhance the performance of the Heed Quasar phono stage, Dactilus DAC, Canalot headphone amp, etc. So don't be hindered by the power of Obelisk - let it extend the influence through the Heed audio family.
