Russound A-LC3 A-Bus Local Source Input Plate
The A-LC3 Local Source Input allows you to connect a computer, CD player, or other audio source to the room speakers in an A-BUS zone. It automatically selects the connected source when it senses an audio signal. You can then use the room keypad or volume control to adjust the speaker volume while playing the local source, just as you would while listening to a source through the main A-BUS system. When used with a Russound A-K5L keypad, it will turn on the zone’s keypad.
The A-LC3 also features a handy IR port - so that you can remotely turn on a local source - via a remote commmand (for instance - you may have a small midi hifi system, or media streamer that you use - that can be turned on via remote control). This is especially useful for sources that are not in line of sight of the remote (in a cupboard or another area of the room), thus enabling you to send an on/off command or skip track command etc. to that source via your A-BUS system keypad.
Designed to install in a standard US 1 Gang J-Box (S1-18-R, S1-18-W or CADMP-1P), the A-LC3 connects with CAT-5 cable between the A-BUS system hub (or A-BUS-ready receiver) and an A-BUS Amplified Keypad such as the A-K6L and A-K4. Again, like the A-K6L it can be finished in various colours including black with a screwless stainless steel surround for a more luxurious finish.
The A-LC3 is sold without a surround (SWP-1) and can be purchased in different colour options.
